Founder of Yoga Vista | Yoga Teacher and Lead teacher.

The school
Dr. Layla Tuqaz was born in Kuwait on August 7, 1968. She began her yoga journey at the age of 37, and what started as a personal journey gradually evolved into a lifelong passion and professional mission dedicated to the study, practice, and teaching of yoga.
Her educational journey took her to India, where she pursued specialized yoga studies and completed 200- and 300-hour training programs in Goa. She then traveled to Mysore, one of the world’s most recognized centers for Ashtanga Yoga, where she continued her studies and training for several years at an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga institute under the guidance of Saraswathi Jois and Sharath Jois.
Through this intensive training, she became certified to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga according to the traditional method and its authentic lineage. She also continued her academic journey by studying Ayurvedic medicine and yoga, while gaining extensive practical experience in yoga education and teaching.
For several years, Dr. Layla worked as an assistant teacher and yoga instructor in India, Bali Ubud, teaching at various yoga schools. These experiences allowed her to develop a broad understanding of yoga education and to work with practitioners from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
In 2018, she was certified by Mr. José Luis Jiménez, founder of Fly High International, as a Fly High Aerial Yoga Teacher. Through this certification, she became one of the pioneering Arab female Teacher specializing in this discipline and contributed to introducing and teaching Fly High Aerial Yoga to Arab women.
In 2022, she founded Yoga Vista, an internationally licensed yoga school accredited by Yoga Alliance, with the vision of providing structured, professional yoga education based on internationally recognized training standards.
Through Yoga Vista, Dr. Layla continues her mission of bringing the knowledge and practice of yoga to Arab women, beginning in Kuwait. Her work focuses on developing qualified Arab female yoga teachers through specialized education, practical training, and the knowledge and experience she has gained through years of study and practice within international yoga traditions.
Her journey reflects the belief that yoga is more than a physical practice. It is a lifelong path of learning, awareness, growth, and transformation—a journey through which knowledge can be shared from one practitioner to generations of teachers and students.
The practice

- 01
Breath
Pranayama is not a warm-up. Every session begins and ends with the breath, because it is the one instrument a teacher can always reach for.
- 02
Alignment
Anatomy taught through the body, not a slide deck. You learn to see a room, read a spine, and adjust with your voice before your hands.
- 03
Philosophy
The sutras and their history, taught honestly and without conflict — a study of attention and restraint that belongs to no single faith.
- 04
Teaching
Hours of real teaching practice with feedback. You leave able to hold a room, sequence a class, and keep your students safe.
